Our Conflicts of Interest (COI) policy is a detailed process supported by the LHGP COI working group for both internal and external partners. It covers individual and institutional conflicts of interest.
Four core principles to guide our approach:
The core mandate of LHGP is to conduct independent, high-quality research
All key decisions about the direction of the research are free from undue influence
Avoid COIs where possible, and otherwise minimise and manage COIs through a process of openness and transparency
Remain vigilant to potential COIs and aim to identify and mitigate or manage the impact of COIs, should they arise.
