Join us as Communications Lead - make a real impact on public health

We’re looking for our new Communications Lead, working with the Local Health Global Profits (LHGP) research consortium, as part of the University of Bath's Centre for 21st Century Public Health.

The LHGP research consortium brings together researchers with local governments, public health practitioners, civil society organisations and local populations to understand the factors that impact on population health and the effective, scalable interventions to tackle them.

Our friendly and dynamic team is looking for a new team member who will work with academics, researchers, professional colleagues, and policy practitioners to communicate the work of LHGP and the Centre for 21st Century Public Health. This would include sharing research findings with key stakeholders and establishing both groups as trusted and authoritative sources of information and expertise. The successful candidate would also support with the promotion of research outputs and tools by members of these groups.

This would be an ideal role for a skilled communications professional with experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating effective communications strategies as well as carrying out day-to-day communication activities. While knowledge and understanding of the UK health landscape and experience of working with academic, research, and policy professionals would be an advantage, the team is open to a range of experience.

The role is offered on a full-time basis of 36.5 hours per week for a fixed-term period until 31 March 2028. The successful candidate will be located on the University of Bath campus and would be expected to work on campus a minimum of 2 days per week.
